Poetry

My resurgence in creative writing began with one of my poems, “I Sit, I Wait,” printing in Moments, a high-quality crafted art book by Agnes Bourne. Then, Bourne asked me to collaborate on another compilation, Potpourri: Poetry.Prose.Pictures. Forty of my poems/personal essay published in this four-color gift book along with 20 of my photographs, many of the Northwest Peninsula. Then, I began exhibiting poetry at the Port Angeles Fine Arts Center and also in the Jackson Hole Center for the Arts. Soon, I found a poetry mentor in Gary Copeland Lilley, the Port Townsend Writer’s Conference and Tieton LiTFUSE Poetry Festival. Journals began printing my poetry as well, such as Tidepools, The Madrona Project, TulipTree Review, Silver Birch, and others. OncoLink is publishing a series of my cancer poems from 2020-23. I am submitting a full-length book of these poems to publishers. Follow my poetry in more detail on Poetryintime.com.

I am building a poetry and imagery blog Poetry In Time to inspire awareness of our connection to nature and environmental action. Often my art evolves from my poetry or includes it as part of the composition. As you will see, nature photography has become another love.
